Here
are some notes from an old Rage. They're brief but we hope they're
helpful... July AD2000
Being
a Christian @ School
a)
Why be a Christian @ School
1/
Christianity is a 7-day-a-week-thing.
"For
Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all and
therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer
live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." (2
Corinthians 5:14-15)
2/ Don’t be ashamed
"If
anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation,
the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with
the holy angels." (Mark 8:38)
"So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his
prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. (2
Timothy 1:8)
3/ Love - wanting to share the good news we have in Jesus.
When
we understand God’s love for us (look up Romans 5:8), we too should be
compelled to love one another as God has loved us (look up John 13:34).
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son
will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him." (John 3:36)
i/
See your friends (& your enemies) go to heaven
ii/
Not see your friends (& your enemies) perish

How to be a Christian @ School?
1/
Read God’s Word (the Bible) - Be Equipped
"All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be
thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2/ Pray
* Pray for opportunities, to speak to people about Jesus
* Pray for courage, to stand up and not be ashamed
* Pray for wisdom, to say the right sort of things
* Pray for your friends that they come to know Jesus (look up Philippians 4:6)
3/ JDI - Just Do It!!!
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give
yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in
the Lord is not in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:58)
